The Brother HL-L9310CDW color laser printer is one of the devices of the Brother Workhorse Series, which provides robust printers for medium-sized workgroups with high-volume printing needs. It prints at up to 33 ppm in both color and black, and is the single-function sibling to the MFC-L9570CDW.
The HL-L9310CDW ($1,500) includes a 800 MHz processor and 1 GB of memory. There is a 2.7″ color touchscreen display panel that works similar to a tablet. First-page-print out time is less than 15 seconds.
PCL printing is supported, as well as Brother’s proprietary PostScript language. USB, Ethernet and wireless connectivity are all standard. Mobile printing is supported via the Brother iPrint&Scan app, AirPrint, and Google Cloud Print.

The Brother HL-L9310CDW has strong features and is intended for medium-sized workgroups that only has single-function printing needs.
Features
Standard paper-handling starts with a 250-sheet tray and a 50-sheet multipurpose tray. Brother offers an optional tower tray that consists of four 520-sheet trays. Users can also optionally purchase an additional 250-sheet tray or the 500-sheet tray. The maximum input capacity is 2,380 sheets. Each tray holds up to 8.5″ x 14″ paper size.
The output capacity is 150 sheets. The maximum monthly duty cycle is 80,000 pages, but Brother recommends a monthly volume of 6,000 pages.
The HL-L9310CDW ships with the super-high-yield black and color toner cartridges with a 6,500-page capacity in each cartridge. Brother offers the ultra-high-yield toner cartridges that include a 9,000-page capacity in each black and color cartridge. As the cartridges is only available via Brother’s reseller network, we were unable to get prices to calculate the cost-per-page. However, businesses can expect low cost of ownership with the higher toner yields. Businesses can also save printing costs by using toner save mode and duplexing.
Security features include an integrated NFC card reader, active directory, secure function lock, secure print, enterprise security, SSL/TLS, and IPSec.
Finally, the HL-L9310CDW has a one-year limited warranty.
