Product Overview

Oracle + Bronto’s cloud-based marketing automation software is designed to help commerce marketers increase customer engagement and gain revenue. It integrates with most e-commerce systems so all information on a customer (such as shopping behavior) is in one place. That way, marketers can send targeted messages from the platform.

The solution uses a drag-and-drop interface to customize messaging workflows. Marketers can use relevant customer data to create customized campaigns with targeted messages. Campaigns and messages are sent through multiple channels, such as email, mobile or social media. Marketers can also use the built-in analytical tools to measure the results of their campaigns.

Oracle + Bronto’s tools help marketers reach customers in all stages of the process, from acquisition to conversion. Some of those tools enable features such as pop-up sign-up and refer-a-friend (in acquisition stage), recommendations (in engagement stage), and abandoned carts and coupons (in conversion stage).

Cart Recovery – The Cart Recovery app helps marketers identify customers’ abandoned shopping carts (i.e., when customers add specific products to an online “cart,” but never make it to checkout) in real time. Through the app, marketers can send them a targeted message encouraging purchase. Marketers can create a series of messages using a drag-and-drop interface and specify when those messages are sent (either immediately after cart abandonment or within a few days). Data on customer demographics and purchasing/browsing history can be dynamically inserted into messages.

Browse Recovery – The Browse Recovery app targets customers who frequently browse a company’s products or site. It captures the page views for a particular product, as well as customer information. Marketers can then send a targeted message to customers, using either built-in or customized parameters to determine the message trigger (for example, most products viewed within a specific category).

Recommendations – With the Recommendations app, marketers can add recommendations to a message, suggesting other similar products the customer may be interested in. The recommendations are inserted based on predictive data and the marketer’s customized business rules. The app’s recommendation loop feature lets marketers design a product layout within the message without copying and pasting any code.

Oracle + Bronto is a cloud-based marketing automation software solution for mid-market to enterprise retailers to track their e-commerce and email marketing efforts. It was founded in 2002 as Bronto Software, and it was acquired by NetSuite Inc. in 2015. Oracle acquired NetSuite in 2016.

Oracle + Bronto’s main mission is “Values. Vision. People.” The solution has received many accolades over the years, including Internet Retailer’s Top 1000 (for 2014, 2015 and 2016) and the Stevie Award for Best Customer Service Department (for nine years in a row).
