Priority ERP At A Glance

Good: The scope and breadth of various platforms and synchronization between them affords robust ERP functionality.
Bad: Steep learning curve on Priority Pro edition for some users.
Bottom Line: Abundant integrated capabilities maximize functionality, but its cost can be prohibitive and a few features are flawed.

Product Overview

Priority is a scalable and flexible ERP solution designed for companies of all sizes. The software’s agility allows for business management system customization that meets the demands of its core vertical markets: manufacturing, financial services, retail, health care, construction, automotive, agriculture, municipalities, electronics and more.

Priority’s ERP Solution is deployed at one of two tiers: Pro or Zoom, depending on customer size and demand. Both versions can be deployed on-premise or in Priority’s ERP Cloud. Priority Pro serves as a business management solution for small- and medium-sized businesses and addresses financials,  human resources, supply-chain, customer relationship and production. Priority Zoom is designed for small businesses (up to 10 users) and can adapt to Pro as business grows.

Features

Priority Pro has 12 core modules which are listed below (note that Priority Zoom only has Financials, Sales, Purchases and Inventory modules):

  • Financials – This tool addresses all aspects of a business’ money flow and compliance. It handles multi-company and multi-currency data and can be tailored to comply with a specific tax jurisdiction or accounting rules. Complemented with a custom report generator and business intelligence utility, Financials handles billing, fixed assets, cash management, cost control, budget control and a financial statement generator.
  • Supply Chain Management – The solution works to streamline processes, reduce lead-time, and deliver product on time. Supply-chain management comprises purchasing, inventory control, material requirements planning and purchase planning, production control, engineer change orders, delivery scheduling, quality assurance and inter-company transactions.
  • Shipping and Delivery – This feature addresses tracking and controls distribution processes, real-time alerts, task management and more. Its capabilities include loading, unloading, delivery failure and driver reporting, task management, returns, customers’ business process management and customized printouts for customers.
  • Project Management – The tool supports task inter-dependencies among projects, project maintenance, team collaboration and email integration. It manages resources and Scope of Work (SOW) and required documents, creates project-related bills of materials, produces Gantt charts for timelines, and calculates costs, budgets and invoicing.
  • Warehouse Management – The module supplies tools essential to inventory-balance discrepancies and mismatched operational requirements between the WMS and ERP solutions. Besides data synchronization, the tool lets users pick and ship, replenish, receive and put away, trace and use remote mobile devices, bar-code labeling and RFID tags.
  • CRM/Sales – This feature helps manage marketing pipelines and sales staff. Its capabilities include lead, opportunity and account management; sales and order targets; target and forecast analysis; marketing campaign management; and custom reporting and charting.
  • Business Intelligence – This solution expedites and customizes a user’s data drill-down and visualization by either reports or dashboards. Along with customizable reporting, capabilities include mobile analytics and third-party BI tool integration through open database connectivity (ODBC).
  • Customer Service – This resource manages incoming service calls to both desktop and field personnel and keeps track of open service calls, call assignment, escalation status, related communications with customer and follow-up calls. Its features include a knowledge base archive that customers can access immediately, business process management, communications and secure mobile access for field service agents, who can then manage any call, inventory tracking and purchasing, service call reporting, customer satisfaction surveys, call summary reports and on-site service call functionality.
  • Human Resources Management – This platform automates, regulates and centralizes issues surrounding personnel, including recruitment, hiring, benefits administration, employee assignment, and more. It capabilities include talent management across the employee life-cycle, direct web access, employee web access and integration with Priority’s Time and Attendance module.
  • Time and Attendance – The Time and Attendance module allows organizations to efficiently track time and labor costs of onsite and offsite employees. Managers can approve employees’ timesheets and leave requests, manage attendance and see real-time reports on hours worked, costs and more.
  • Payments – Companies can capture and process their customers’ payments with this module. It allows customers to pay by debit or credit, which leads to organizations getting their money faster. There’s a Click2Pay feature (powered by the PayMe) app that gives eligible customers the opportunity to make credit card payments directly from their emailed invoice. Additional features include a payment portal, vendor/supplier payment, credit card clearing and a consolidated dashboard.
  • Equipment Rental – This module includes robust features to help companies manage their equipment rental processes, such as inventory planning, resource optimization, opportunity management and reporting and charting tools.
