ERP-ONE At A Glance

Good: For wholesalers and distributors, its module's breadth, scope, scalability and integration with third-party apps address nearly every business management need.
Bad: An HRMS/HCM module is not offered.
Bottom Line: ERP-ONE is a market leader for good reason. If the adage, "you get what you pay for" is true, then the value of ERP-ONE eclipses its total cost of ownership.

Product Overview

Distribution One’s Cloud and On-Premise ERP-ONE is a complete, wholesale-distribution financial system and warehouse automation solution. Comprehensive and integrated, ERP-ONE aims to increase interconnectivity while heightening operational efficiency through core procedures and automation.

The purpose behind Distribution One’s ERP-ONE software solution is to help wholesalers and distributors across many industries streamline processes, automate operations, and access real-time business information anywhere.

It includes modules that address: Order Entry, Accounts Receivable and Payable, Inventory Control, Warehouse Automation, Vendor-Managed Inventory, Lot Control, Point of Sale, General Ledger, Purchasing, Sales Analysis, Customer Relationship Management, Dashboard and Data Analytics, Wireless Warehousing and many other standard tools, like Kitting/Assembly and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).

Expanding upon these features, Distribution One offers their own ERP-ONE integrated E-Commerce platform and mobile app suite.  In addition, ERP-ONE provides supplemental integrations like Amazon connectivity, Credit card processing, Sales tax compliance automation, and Shipping integrations with FedEx and UPS. So, selling a product and shipping inventory can be done in a few mouse clicks.

ERP-ONE functionality includes features that address most aspects of business management, including, but not limited to:

Dashboard+ Data Analytics – Precise visualizations and real-time alerts help identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that are most significant to individual users, delivering crucial insights into current business health.

Sales Order Entry – Instantly available customer information lets a company process sales orders and customize per user engagement.

Invoicing & Billing – This feature promotes the smooth flow of data from sales order to billing and can be customized per a user’s needs.

CRM – A single-screen CRM lets users drill down customer information for near-instant actionable data. It can also be customized per user and integrated with another third-party CRM.

Inventory and Warehouse Management – This feature scales to demand and provides management of inventory as well as its location in the warehouse. Wireless warehousing functionality is also available to manage real-time inventory levels for stocking and picking.

Purchasing – This feature handles special customer requests, suggested inventory replenishment, and inventory linking so a user can make an intelligent purchasing decision.

Sales Analysis – This tool delivers immediate sales data from which a user can inquire, report, compare, and track trends before making critical business planning decisions.

Interactive Management Reporting – This feature permits users to import vendor data, export company data to Word or Excel docs (with on-the-fly modifications possible), and take advantage of insightful exception reporting, among available reporting options.

Distribution One has developed and executes an Implementation Process that combines a dedicated team with a customer’s assigned project team to ensure every aspect of the software launch is addressed, planned, and initiated correctly. As one of four distinct services, Installation includes pre-implementation consulting, system installation and configuration, user training, data transfer from legacy system, and Go-Live/on-site support.

Customers can expect full participation in roundtable discussions and discovery sessions to ensure system generation is understood, assigned, and scheduled. Installation includes loading the application software, configuring workstations, defining printer setups and more, with the goal of maximizing system stability and reliability. Final data conversion transfers data from an existing system to ERP-ONE safely, securely, and accurately. Following Go-Live and final data conversion, each user completes on-site, hands-on training, tailored to a customer’s specific business model and management goals.

Distribution One’s customer support includes a mix of live US-based telephone help 24/7, online knowledge base, and a customer portal through which help desk tickets can be generated.
