Bitam At A Glance
BI users want flexibility, scalability, and low operating cost for their software, and Bitam has built its BI platform with that in mind. All business users, regardless of analysis or technical knowledge, will be able to create and run analysis, dashboards, and reports without having to rely on IT for the information. Bitam’s Artus BI software combines both ad-hoc analysis and management dashboard into one platform, so companies will not need to run more than one software.
Users can monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) or other important information via dashboards. Bitam’s dashboards can be customized by using over 30 features offered, such as charts, graphs, bars, maps, and speedometers. Users can also drill down into each data and can access the dashboard via the Web or Windows. Dashboards and reports can be exported into PDFs or Microsoft Office.
We’ve indicated below the standard features of Bitam’s BI solution. However, we want to mention that users will receive automatic alerts either from their desktop or their mobile device if certain key performance indicators (KPI) triggers a need for action. Alerts can be sent either as a notification or via email, which allows the users to take immediate action on their data.

As Bitam’s platforms are Web-based, deployment is faster than traditional BI software. Bitam has a consulting program that helps with user implementation. Potential customers will meet with a Bitam consultant to develop an implementation strategy that include all facets of an organization requirements (number of users, organization objective, types of data generated, etc). The next part of the phase covers design and installation. The software is tested with the company’s data before installation. After installation, once the organization is able to work with the software, Bitam then trains the organization’s users on the software.
Customer Service & Support
Bitam offers training in the form of courses and webinars. Users can choose from either a classroom-based training or an on-site training. Bitam also provides customized courses based on the needs of the organization. There are also 45-minute webinars geared for technical and business users. Users can learn “tips & tricks” of Bitam’s solutions, new solution features, and important industry BI issues.
Bitam provides technical support via its Help Desk system. In addition to technical support, users will also receive product updates and access to Bitam’s knowledge base for issues and questions.
Bitam is a small player in the BI market and is not well known in the U.S. (most of its customers are in Latin America and Mexico and are regional distribution centers of larger companies). There also tend to be difficulty in supporting large number of users.
Not only does Bitam provide BI solutions, but the company also sells Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) software. Its mission is to provide clients with “the fastest analytical and decision making capabilities with low investment and risk.” Within this mission, Bitam makes four promises to clients: great decisions made quickly, information easily understood by everyone, provide information relevant to industry segments, and affordable power (short deployment time and reduced operating cost).
Founded in 2000, Bitam has 18 offices globally, including the U.S., Asia, and Europe.Download Vendor Comparison Guide
