Zenefits’ time-tracking system streamlines all HR functions related to paid time off (PTO), and employee time and attendance. The time module makes tracking employees’ hours in real time simple with prompts for easy setup to integrate a new hire into the system.

By seamlessly connecting to your payroll and benefits information, Zenefits ensures your policies remain compliant with state and Affordable Care Act (ACA) regulations.


Zenefits’ time-tracking module includes everything you need to efficiently track employee time and attendance, PTO and accrual while staying compliant with labor laws.

After sending a request to Zenefits (providing your name and a work email), the support team will work with companies one-on-one to start the implementation process.

Each company will be assigned a support representative as a main contact. The company will continue to work with that representative from the initial set-up process, through launch and training, to periodic software/account maintenance.

Customer Service & Support

From an online Help Center covering numerous topics to telephone support, Zenefits offers various support options to fit a customer’s needs.

If a company chooses to manage its benefits through Zenefits, a representative will be assigned to the company for a consistent point of contact.


Zenefits offers three levels of pricing: Lite HR, Standard and Advanced. Customers can be billed monthly or yearly.

Lite HR: Free

  • Employee management (features include hiring, basic onboarding, offboarding, employee directory, organizational charts and most of the core HR apps)

Standard: $6/employee per month ($5 for yearly billing) plus $40 base fee per month

  • HR platform that includes hiring and onboarding, HR records, employee directory, organizational charts and mobile app

  • Documents app for storing employee documents and forms

Advanced: $12/employee per month ($9 for yearly billing) plus $40 base fee per month

Zenefits also offers optional features, such as:

Due to delayed responses from their assigned representatives, some customers said the implementation process was longer than necessary.

Others have said that, after implementation was complete, account managers became distant and customer service was lacking.
