Mavenlink At A Glance

Good: Scalable pricing plans, business intelligence functionality (Enterprise plan), accounting and resource management functionality (available on three pricing plans).
Bad: Advanced reporting features only available with Enterprise plan; steep learning curve.
Bottom Line: Online software allowing businesses to manage the end-to-end cycle of specific projects, including tasks, costs, resources and data analysis.

Product Overview

Mavenlink is a cloud-based project management solution that helps any business manage its projects (including tasks, deadlines, financial performance, etc.) from start to finish.

In addition to project management, Mavenlink offers project accounting, resource management, business intelligence and collaboration.

One main benefit of Mavelink is that businesses don’t have to adhere to rigid deadlines. Mavenlink provides them with the ability to change or customize deadlines based on any feedback or other factors.

Mavenlink integrates with accounting, customer relationship management (CRM) and development applications, such as Salesforce, Intacct, Google Drive and QuickBooks, to name a few. Customers that wish to build their own custom integration can do so via Mavenlink’s application program interface (API).

Mavenlink has four different pricing plans: Team, Professional, Premier and Enterprise. More information on each plan is in our Features and Pricing sections below.

We also want to note a few new features. First, there’s the Talent Network that allows project managers to run scenario planning tests to optimize internal or external staff assignments for future projects. Another new feature is the Delivery Analyzer that uses embedded Tableau dashboards to give users actionable data on a project’s risks or statuses. And finally, the RightResource feature streamlines the process of showing clients information on employees assigned to their projects using configurable resource profiles.
