Product Overview

Ricoh has introduced a new line of Intelligent Devices that allow businesses to access the latest technological features without having to buy a new MFP. Administrators simply download any new application, feature, or upgrade from the device as soon as they’re available, thanks to Ricoh’s new Always Current technology.

Ricoh also offer customized applications or workflows that can be standardized throughout the company or within cloud-hosted user profiles (so individuals or departments can access specific workflows). Those settings or workflows can be rolled over to the new device once the current MFP reaches end of life.

Ricoh has also made improvements to its Smart Operation Panel, such as an upgraded processor for faster access to applications. The panel can be personalized with the client’s logo, and also includes web-help and how-to videos for guiding end users. Finally, there’s the RemoteConnect Support that lets Ricoh’s tech support staff remotely access the Ricoh device for fixes.

The new line consists of six devices that offer standard printing, copying, scanning and optional faxing. In this review, we feature the IM C3000 and IM C3500. The IM C3000 prints and copies at up to 30 ppm in black and color, while the IM C3500 has an engine speed of up to 35 ppm. Both machines has a first-output-time of 6.9 seconds in color.
