Product Overview

The TASKalfa 2551ci replaces the older 2550ci in Kyocera’s lineup. A number of enhancements that separate the two machines include more processing speed, higher memory, and higher paper-handling capacity. The 2551ci copies and prints at 25ppm in both black and color and is priced at $9,224. Copying, printing, and scanning are standard, with optional faxing. First-page-out print time in color is 9.1 seconds.

There’s an 8.5″ color touchscreen. Kyocera has also included a programming interface — dubbed Hybrid Platform Advanced Solutions or HyPAS — for developing software for the MFP. The “hybrid” in that name calls attention to the capability of this interface to accept device-level Java-based applications or Web services targeted at the server level. A number of Kyocera business applications are available, including mobile printing, Microsoft SharePoint connector, and Cloud Connect.

The TASKalfa 2551ci has strong features, including powerful processor, excellent paper-handling capacity, and with its upgraded business applications, the ability to help improve workflow and productivity.
