Product Overview

Kyocera has refreshed its black-and-white single-function printers with the ECOSYS P3260dn Series. The series consist of four printers, which are:

  • The ECOSYS P3145dn that prints at up to 47 ppm and has a 200,000-page monthly duty cycle,
  • The ECOSYS P3150dn that prints at up to 52 ppm and has a 250,000-page monthly duty cycle,
  • The ECOSYS P3155dn that prints at up to 57 ppm and has a 275,000-page monthly duty cycle, and
  • The ECOSYS P3260dn that prints at up to 62 ppm and has a 300,000-page monthly duty cycle.

All four printers include a 1,200 MHz processor and 512 MB of memory (that can optionally expand to 2.5 GB). There are two optional hard disk drives (32 GB and 128 GB). Depending on the printer, first-page-out times range from 4.9 seconds to 5.9 seconds.

PCL, PostScript, XPS and PDF direct print are standard. The devices also support USB, Ethernet and mobile printing. Users can print from their mobile devices via Mopria print service, Google Cloud Print, Apple AirPrint or Kyocera’s dedicated mobile print app. Parallel and Wi-Fi connectivity are optional.

The printers also include Kyocera Fleet Services, a cloud-based monitoring service that lets dealers perform routine maintenance tasks for their customers remotely.

More details is in our Features section below.

The ECOSYS P3260dn Series has strong features in a compact design and is intended for large businesses with high-volume printing needs.

Features

Paper handling starts with a 500-sheet drawer and a 100-sheet bypass. Kyocera offers two optional paper-handling features. First, there is the paper feeder that includes up to four 500-sheet drawers. Second, there is the 2,000-sheet large capacity tray. The maximum paper capacity is 2,600 sheets.

All drawers, except for the large-capacity tray, accept up to 8.5″ x 14″ paper. Standard output is only 250 sheets on the P3145dn and 500 sheets on the other three printers.

Automatic duplexing is standard.

Other printing features include EcoPrint, private print and job management. Kyocera offers an optional high-capacity (40,000-page) toner for the ECOSYS P3260dn model.

The printers include standard security features, such as local authentication, network authentication and LDAP.  Users can purchase additional features, such as a data security kit or a card authentication kit.
