Product Overview
The Epson WorkForce WF-7710 Series joins their single-function sibling, the WorkForce WF-7210, in Epson’s lineup of inkjet printers and all-in-ones.
There are two devices in this series:
- The WF-7710 ($249.99), which includes a single 250-sheet tray
- The WF-7720 ($299.99), which includes dual 250-sheet trays for a 500-sheet capacity
Both devices support standard printing, copying, scanning and faxing. They also include a 4.3″ color touchscreen control panel. Print speed is up to 18ppm (ISO) in black and up to 10ppm (ISO) in color. Copy speed is up to 16cpm (ISO) in black and up to 8.8cpm (ISO) in color.
Similar to other Epson devices, the WF-7710 Series use Epson’s inkjet technology, PrecisionCore. PrecsionCore uses a high-density print chip that can generate up to 40 million precise dots per second.
USB, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Mobile printing is also supported via the Epson Connect solution. Within the Epson Connect are the following features: Email Print, iPrint Mobile App, and Remote Print. Users can also print via the Apple AirPrint, Kindle Fire and Google Cloud Print.
More details is in our Features section below.
With their flexible paper handling and capacity, mobile printing and lower operating costs, the WorkForce WF-7710 Series can be good buys for small offices looking for wide-format multifunctionality.
Features
Paper handling consists of a 250-sheet tray on the WF-7710 and dual 250-sheet trays on the WF-7720. Both devices also include a rear-feed specialty tray and a 35-sheet automatic document feeder.
Output capacity is 125 sheets. As they’re both wide-format printers, the WF-7710 Series support paper sizes of up to 13″ x 19″.
Automatic duplexing is standard. The monthly duty cycle is up to 20,000 pages, but Epson recommends printing no higher than 1,300 pages per month.
Scanning is done via a color CIS sensor. It supports scan-to-PC, scan-to-cloud, scan-to-email, scan-to-flash drive and scan-to-PDF.
Faxing is supported via a 33.6kbps modem. Memory is up to 550 pages and PC faxing is standard.
In terms of replacement ink, Epson offers both standard and high-capacity ink in four individual cartridges. It also offers an extra-high-capacity black ink cartridges with a yield of 2,200 pages. We’ve done our cost-per-page calculations based on the yield and prices of the extra-high-capacity black and high-capacity yellow/cyan/magenta cartridges. Therefore, the cost per page is 3.1 cents in black and 11.3 cents in color.
These calculations prove that the operating costs are pretty reasonable (color cost per page can average 15 cents in inkjet devices). By using the higher capacity replacement ink cartridges, duplex printing and other environmental features, users can save on printing costs in the long run.
And finally, there is a one-year limited warranty.

About
Epson America is a division of Japan-based Seiko Epson Corporation, a manufacturer and supplier of imaging products, semiconductors, liquid crystal displays, and watches. The company has been an innovative designer of ink jet printers and sells an extensive product line. Most of these are geared to home and school use, but Epson continues to extend its line further into the office environment.
Epson has been making a more aggressive play for the document scanner market, although the company’s been in the multipurpose office scanner business for years. The models and other additions to its model line seem to be part of an effort to further extend its current scanner technology. As part of this effort, Epson makes these scanners available in consumer electronics stores such as Best Buy, along with Epson dealers and on its website.
