Does Abara LMS have a free trial?

Yes, Abara LMS offers a 30-day free trial, and new clients can sign up for it via their site. Clients can set up a free trial account where they can brand their portal with their organization’s colors, logo or themes and create demo courses. Abara LMS recommends that clients schedule a personalized software demo with their staff in addition to the free trial.

Abara LMS Pricing Details

Abara LMS has six pricing tiers based on the number of monthly active users. Each tier includes standard features (e.g., SCORM-compatible courses, course management, video content, personalized learner portal, custom reports, notifications) plus integration with virtual learning solutions and an unlimited number of registered users. In addition, users get system setup, onboarding, training and up to two months of scheduled phone support for free.

The six tiers are:

Micro

The Micro tier accommodates up to 50 monthly active users at $420 per month or $4,200 per year. It also includes:

• A maximum file size limit of 100 MB per upload
• A single portal
• A standard hosting package (secure Amazon AWS hosting with standard server configurations)
• Support that consists of a FAQ bank and video tutorials

Abara LMS has two add-on features at an extra cost: multiple languages and custom SMTP for email notifications. Please contact the vendor for pricing for these features.

Small 

The Small tier accommodates up to 100 monthly active users at $600 per month or $6,000 per year. It includes all of the features of the Micro tier, plus:

• Unlimited storage
• A maximum file size limit of 250 MB per upload
• Blockbuster theme (modern user interface for learners that come in light and dark modes)
• Classroom training workflow automation
• A knowledge repository
• Gamification
• Optional eCommerce features
• The ability to sign up for courses via social media

Medium

The Medium tier accommodates up to 250 monthly active users at $900 per month or $9,000 per year. It Includes all of the features of the Small plan, plus:

• Learning paths
• Single sign-on
• Integration with Salesforce
• Integration with Outlook
• Integration with WordPress
• A mobile app
• Course recommendations
• Course discussion forums
• Ask the Expert workflows
• Custom domain
• Simultaneous login restrictions
• Learning object bookmarking
• PowerPoint and PDF slideshow feature
• Proxy login into other users’ profiles

Big

The Big tier accommodates up to 500 monthly active users at $1,400 per month or $14,000 per year. It includes all of the features of the Medium plan, plus:

• A maximum file size limit of up to 500 MB per upload
• External certificate workflow
• The ability to mark course complete
• Power users
• Admin logs and audit trail
• Two-step authentication for Master Admins
• A free authoring tool
• Removal of the Powered By Abara LMS tagline by request

In addition, Abara LMS offers customization and a custom pricing model; note that each service requires a three-year contract. And clients can opt to add on end users or student learner support as a separate cost; this requires a one-year contract.

Large

The Large tier accommodates up to 1,000 monthly active users at $1,800 per month or $18,000 per year. It includes all of the features of the Big tier, plus:

• A maximum file size of 1 GB per upload
• An advanced hosting package for organizations with high usage requirements, a multi-location server setup, a CDN setup and HD video libraries

Enterprise

The Enterprise tier accommodates over 1,000 monthly active users. It adds unlimited maximum file size limits, multiple portals and advanced implementation services. Pricing is not available, so please contact Abara LMS directly for a quote.

Note that if an organization goes over the number of monthly active users per month, there’s an additional $3 per-user, per-month fee.
