GoCo At A Glance

Product Overview

GoCo is an HR platform that helps small and medium-sized businesses streamline their HR tasks. Companies can easily onboard a new employee, send and collect documents or easily manage time off.

GoCo is deployed in the cloud and uses two-factor authentication, so employers won’t have to worry about hosting their own data or security issues.

Features

Modern HR – GoCo includes an interactive organizational chart where employees can easily search for specific departments or colleagues. Employees can also update their own profiles and request time off. Managers can view the employee’s time-off requests and approve them with one click.

GoCo provides a central location for all HR documents, such as offer letters, onboarding forms and performance review templates. The Magic Docs functionality allows users to digitally sign, complete and track all forms. It prepopulates any relevant data stored in GoCo directly onto the form. The form can be sent to team members right from the software, so there’s no scanning, printing or emailing documents.

GoCo’s hiring and onboarding solution gives new hires the opportunity to sign offer letters and fill out the important paperwork (e.g., W-4 and I-9 forms) before their first day. HR administrators can create customizable onboarding checklists, tasks and assignments.

The team feedback feature is available to both managers and employees. Employees can add notes about their achievements, room for improvement or general information about their performance. There’s a one-on-one tool where employees can add notes or an agenda of what they want to discuss with their manager at a one-on-one meeting. Employees can opt to mark their one-on-one post private or share it with their manager.

Managers can view their team’s performance at a glance as well as leave a note, praise or suggestions for improvement with a specific employee. The note can either be marked as private by the manager or shared with the employee for comments.

Finally, HR administrators can run reports with GoCo’s customizable reporting tools.

Benefits – GoCo’s self-service features let employees compare and enroll in different benefits plans (including medical, dental, vision, commuter, etc.). When an employee enrolls or dis-enrolls in benefits, GoCo makes it seamless to get that data transmitted to insurance carriers.

Payroll Sync – GoCo makes it easy to sync all payroll data including salaries, tax withholding, direct deposit benefit premiums, and more. With the Payroll Auto Sync add-on, all that data can be automatically synced to any online payroll provider.

Compliance – GoCo’s compliance features help employers adhere to regulatory mandates. It tracks any regulatory changes and automatically updates them. For example, its ACA Compliance feature shows administrators which employees are gaining or losing health coverage and recommends the most cost-effective and compliant solution. GoCo can also file 1095 forms with the IRS at the end of the year for an additional fee. Finally, the PTO Compliance feature tracks the employee’s time-off balance and allows employers to add in any PTO restrictions.

Implementation/Integration

GoCo has two implementation models:

First, there’s the white glove service, where clients work with a dedicated client success manager. GoCo imports all employee data and digitizes documents and workflows. The process typically takes four to six weeks.

Second, there’s a step-by-step implementation wizard for clients that prefer to set up GoCo themselves.

GoCo grew out of a desire to solve an HR pain point its co-founders had experienced in their previous successful businesses. They noticed that Sales, Marketing, Accounting and other departments had automated processes, but HR was oftentimes spending time on manual tasks and workflows.

GoCo’s mission is to empower businesses to streamline their HR administration so they can spend the saved time propelling their own goals and people forward.
