  • Applicant tracking -BerniePortal’s applicant tracking feature allows you to find and attract candidates online and manage candidates’ information.
  • PTO tracking – PTO management is available in one location in the portal. Approve and request time off, and check balances. This feature also allows for employee access.
  • Time and attendance – Employees can clock in and out on their computer or via the BerniePortal app. Track attendance and adjust timesheets online as well.
  • Integrations – BerniePortal will integrate with carriers, payroll and other services such as Indeed.
  • Performance management – Document and track employee performance and development with real-time conversation documentation. A central message chain allows for organizational consistency with agendas, summaries, and discussions.
  • Compliance – This feature ensures compliance with e-signature capability, tracking of individual signatures, and the ability to send reminders.

Pricing

BerniePortal has a free plan with basic applicant tracking features, SOC II security audit, a knowledge base and integration with third-party software via the Marketplace. Then, there are three paid plans.

Standard – The Standard plan costs $11 per employee, per month and includes all of the features of the free plan, plus access to recruiting features for hiring managers, onboarding, benefits management, paid time off, performance management, compliance management, an employee directory/organizational chart, email/chat support and phone support.

Plus – The Plus plan costs $16 per employee, per month and adds on 1095-C reporting, hiring influencers, onboarding reports, employee time allocation and open API.

Enterprise – The Enterprise plan costs $21 per employee, per month and includes all of the features of the Plus plan, plus advanced benefits features (e.g., unlimited plan options, spousal surcharge, defined contributions) and 360-degree surveys.

Shortcomings

Although it can be a great all-in-one solution for smaller businesses, larger businesses might find some of BerniePortal’s features, including reporting capabilities, quite limited.
