We’ll discuss the key features of Workable below. However, we wanted to first highlight Workable’s built-in sourcing tool, People Search which allows recruiters to search millions of online profiles by skills, keywords and target location, among other criteria. It also has AI Recruiter that uses machine learning to find passive candidates that may be a best fit for a particular role and recommends up to 50 relevant candidates that have applied to the company in the past.

Talent CRM – Workable has a talent pool module to help recruiters track and nurture relationships with potential candidates. Features include the ability to search for and add candidates from a database of millions of profiles, snooze communication with candidates that aren’t currently available for hire and view histories of interactions.

Team collaboration – With Workable, users can modify access rights to account settings and confidential information for different groups, including senior leaders, standard members of the hiring team and external recruiters. Hiring managers can also assign and audit user roles and responsibilities, and invite external recruiters to submit candidates through the Workable platform.

Onboarding – Workable now offers onboarding functionality. Users can create a branded onboarding portal that includes the company’s logo, a welcome message or video, and other pertinent info. They can keep track of new hire onboarding status via a dashboard. In addition, there’s multiple employee profile templates that users can choose from, and new hires can set up their employee profiles and complete the required paperwork. Not only does Workable provides onboarding, but it offers other HR features, such as document management, organizational charts and employee time-off management.

Implementation/Integration

Clients can start with a 15-day free trial. Users can set up career pages within minutes and then create a hiring pipeline, post jobs and communicate with applicants. Open jobs and candidates can be imported from an existing ATS, database or spreadsheet. New users receive a training webinar and a 60-day review.

Workable can be integrated with job boards, video interview platforms, assessment providers and human resource management systems (HRMS).

Customer Service & Support

Users can contact a customer support team based out of the United States, Europe or Australia through email, the mobile app or the online help ticket submission form. Phone support is also available on business days from 2:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m EST. In addition, the Help Center provides articles and videos.

Pricing

Workable has three pricing plans based on the number of employees and active job postings.

  • Starter – The Starter plan costs $149 per month for up to 50 employees. It includes all of the software’s features, plus it accommodates up to two active jobs and up to 200 AI sourcing profile views per month. Note that this plan only has monthly billing. Users can opt to add on video interviewing ($49 per month), texting ($39 per month) and assessment ($29 per month) features.
  • Standard – The Standard plan has a tiered pricing that starts at $299 per month ($3,588 per year) for companies with up to 20 employees. It accommodates unlimited active jobs, up to 1,000 AI sourcing profile views per month, and assisted account onboarding. The price reflects annual billing, but if users opt for monthly billing, the price starts at $360 per month. Users can opt to add on video interviewing (starting at $90 per month), texting (starting at $60 per month) and assessment (starting at $30 per month) features.
  • Premier – The Premier plan also has tiered pricing that starts at $599 per month ($7,188 per year) for companies with up to 20 employees. Note that it only has annual billing. The Premier plan adds on up to 20,000 AI sourcing profile views per year, hiring plan with requisition approvals, five native language options, a dedicated account manager, single sign-on support and custom account onboarding. It also includes video interviewing, assessments and texting features.

 

Shortcomings

Workable doesn’t include automated reference checks. Also, larger customers may find that Workable doesn’t offer enough functionality or customization for multiple jobs and departments.
