HiringThing is an applicant tracking and recruitment solution that can be used by in-house recruiters and hiring agencies. It can also be used by third-party HR solutions to offer existing clients an applicant tracking solution as part of a software suite.

With HiringThing, hiring managers can source candidates and compare them collaboratively, then measure the recruitment strategy’s success. The core purpose of HiringThing is to organize and standardize the hiring process.


HiringThing’s features fit into three core categories:

1. Sourcing: Users are able to post open requisitions across a vast number of job-board sites with one click. HiringThing covers all free job boards, such as Indeed and Glassdoor. It also connects with social media such as LinkedIn and Facebook. In addition, hiring managers have access to video interviewing to reduce how long it takes to make a hire. Candidates are given a time limit to answer a set of questions, and recruiters can watch the recordings at their convenience. Background checks can be integrated into the solution through Crimecheck.com, and users can also make the most of referral networks through the solution.

2. Automating: Resumes are easily imported and compared against each other along with any custom forms the applicant fills out. Applicants have an automatically generated profile within the system that recruiters can easily review and sort. Profiles can be tagged to quickly categorize and retrieve applicant information. A shared calendar helps connect the hiring team to schedule interviews at everyone’s convenience. The solution also keeps a detailed record of every touch-point to standardize the process.

3. Amplifying: A high-level dashboard has tools to help recruiters discover applicant trends such as which channel has brought in the highest quality applicants and how many days it takes to make a hire. Users also have access to real-time activity to keep track of where recruiters are in the hiring process. An additional dashboard has a to-do list for users to drill down into ongoing tasks based on a number of factors such as individual recruiter, geographical location and various keywords. For agencies, recruiters can provide their clients with a job page for information on the hiring process. Administrators can set privileges so all users have access to what they need.

The solution can be customized in a number of ways.
